Previously, Burrello worked for two decades at the Ermenegildo Zegna group. Since 2009, he had been chief marketing officer of the Italian men’s wear company, overseeing its communication strategies, developing its CRM activities, as well as its omnichannel and licensing. Burrello first joined Zegna in 1996 as its corporate communications director. He started his career at L’Oréal and Scott, before arriving at Moët Hennessy as sales and marketing director.
Ferragamo’s chief executive officer Eraldo Poletto, who joined the Florence-based company last August, has been forming a new team, including a trifecta of designers: Guillaume Meilland, who will show his first efforts as director of men’s wear this month; Paul Andrew as design director of women’s footwear, and Fulvio Rigoni as women’s ready-to-wear design director.
