Monica Woo, who took on the role of chief marketing officer for the Sears brand in August, left Sears Holdings Corp. in January.
Online financial services firm Mozido hired Woo as executive vice president and global chief marketing and strategy officer, making her departure from Sears public today.
It’s been a time of tough run for the retailer, which is headed by chairman Edward Lampert. Sears has registered huge losses, laid out plans to close stores, pulled apparel from limited number of stores and Lampert has stepped in to guarantee some payments to vendors.
In January, John D. Goodman, executive vice president of apparel and home, left the company after just over two years.
Sears has also been attracting new talent. In January, Ron Boire, the former Brookstone president and chief executive officer, was named executive vice president, chief merchandising officer and president, Sears and Kmart formats. And David Lukes was brought on board as president of real estate development.
