The W magazine beauty director's dog Remy is becoming a social-media star.
Jane Larkworthy’s pithy writing has made the W magazine beauty director one of the most influential voices in the business in print and online. Now her pet poodle, Remy, is becoming a social-media star, too. On a whim last Halloween, Larkworthy clad the pooch in a vintage leopard-print coat accessorized with a matching hat and Yves Saint Laurent handbag; she posted the resulting photo on Twitter, where she has 18,000 followers and counting. Remy has since become a modeling sensation, sporting everything from a gold lamé Miu Miu coat to a Canada Goose down jacket as a nod to the Polar Vortex. “She doesn’t get up for less than 10 biscuits a day now,” quips Larkworthy, who describes the dog’s style as similar to her own. “She has a very strong Sixties bent, but she also favors modern classics from Jil Sander, Dries Van Noten and Maria Cornejo.” [Cornejo designed the matching coats the duo is wearing here.] As for Remy’s modeling prowess, well, let’s just say she’s developed her own style. “She’s not the most expressive,” Larkworthy acknowledges, “yet when she looks at you, it speaks volumes.”
