The Watches of Switzerland Group has tapped Katie Reed as vice president of marketing for the U.S., replacing David Kellie.
Reed will lead all marking communications for both Watches of Switzerland in North America, as well as Mayors, and will report to David Hurley, executive vice president of Watches of Switzerland Group USA.
“We are thrilled to have Katie join our team during a time of such exponential growth for Watches of Switzerland in the U.S.,” Hurley said. “Her expertise in luxury goods and deep connections in the watch industry will prove to be invaluable to our continued success in the North American market.”
Reed comes to the to the role from Surface Media where she served as vice president, overseeing revenue and marketing, and as publisher of Watch Journal.
Prior to that, Reed held a number of senior level positions in the luxury space including director of public relations and communications for Patek Philippe.

The U.K.-based retailer pushed into the U.S. market in a big way last year, opening a flagship in New York’s SoHo, as well as stores in Hudson Yards, Boston and at The Wynn in Las Vegas.
