Theo Killion, the former Zale Corp. chief executive officer who led the jewelry retailer’s turnaround and its sale to Signet Jewelers Ltd., has joined Herbert Mines Associates as vice chairman.

Killion left Zale last summer. Prior to working at Zale, Killion led the human resources and operations functions of Tommy Hilfiger, L Brands and HSN. Killion began his career at Macy’s Inc., where he started as a management trainee and rose up the corporate ladder to senior vice president of h.r.
Killion sits on the boards of Express Inc. and Libbey Inc., is a trustee of the Committee for Economic Development, and is a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors.
