MILAN — Buccellati chief executive officer Thierry Andretta has been appointed vice president of the storied Italian jewelry firm. His successor has not been named yet.
Andretta, who joined Buccellati from Lanvin last year, will continue to supervise the brand’s international development. At the same time, in his new role, he is to strengthen and expand his collaboration with Buccellati’s parent company, private equity fund Clessidra SGR.
“I thank Thierry Andretta for his commitment to the growth of Buccellati as a cornerstone of the Italian high-end jewelry,” said Claudio Sposito, chairman of Clessidra. “I am persuaded that his professionalism and experience will be a strong contribution to Clessidra’s future investments in the fashion and luxury sectors.”
Clessidra acquired a majority stake in Buccellati last year, with the namesake family still maintaining shares in the firm. Creative director Andrea Buccellati is now flanked by his designer daughter, Lucrezia.
In July, Clessidra inked an agreement to take a 35 percent stake in Harmont & Blaine SpA through a capital increase, with the goal of supporting the Italian fashion brand’s international growth.
