PARIS — Toshio Negami has been named president and chief executive officer of Decléor, Carita and Carita International, starting April 1 here.

Negami — who will be replacing Yoshiaki Sato in his new role — has worked at the company for 27 years, and holds the position of general manager of the internal audit department at Shiseido headquarters in Tokyo. In 2003, he was appointed chairman and ceo of Shiseido Cosmetics America Ltd., now called Shiseido Americas Corp.
“Although the current market environment is challenging, we are very optimistic about the future of both brands, as the brands restage plans were well accepted by our business partners,” said Carsten Fischer, corporate executive officer and chief officer of the professional business division of Shiseido.
