V76 by Vaughn has tapped David Petersen as general manager.
Petersen, who will join the company on March 2, will be responsible for the brand’s daily business functions, including sales, customer support, marketing plans and new product development. He will report to Reuben Carranza, president of V76 by Vaughn.
The licensed cosmetologist and cofounder of Rudy’s Barbershop, which now has 20 locations in Seattle; Portland, Ore.; Los Angeles and New York City, sold his company last summer to a private venture group. Petersen still sits on the advisory board for Rudy’s and is a chairman on the board of directors.
“I started as an owner and a barber, but as we grew, my job responsibilities did as well,” said Petersen, who opened Rudy’s in 1992. “In 2006, I had to step away from the chair full time to help grow all of our teams.”
