World Tricot, a former knitwear supplier to Chanel, said Tuesday it would appeal a recent ruling by the French commercial court that cleared Chanel of counterfeit allegations. Chanel, in turn, was ordered to pay World Tricot 400,000 euros, or about $589,000, for contract termination that placed its manufacturing business in jeopardy.
