MILAN — On Thursday, Moncler confirmed a report in Italian newspaper “Il Giornale” about an investigation conducted by Macerata attorney’s office and the Italian fiscal police against an international organization producing and distributing fashion products with counterfeit Moncler logos.
This organization would have manufactured the items, destined to both European and non-European countries, in Moldavia, in a factory which was formerly included in Moncler’s productive chain.
“Moncler is happy with the reached results so far, which confirm the company’s involvement in fighting forgery,” the company told WWD on Thursday. “In order to protect its know-how, the Group has always attentively and constantly controlled its whole productive chain, from manufacturing logistics to external suppliers.”
On Monday, the Italian company said it won a legal battle against a Chinese company that was producing and distributing products featuring counterfeit Moncler logos.
