Inspired by Batter and her work in the Seventies — which emphasized feet, legs and stockings — the campaign was photographed by Mario Sorrenti. The Italian lensman is known for his nude photographs for publications for Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar and has worked with brands such as Max Mara, Chanel and Calvin Klein on advertising campaigns in the past. The shoot was styled by Jane How at a London studio.
The campaign features Romanian model Andreea Diaconu in a neutrally decorated lounge which offset the bold color palette of the brand’s latest lingerie lineup. She is pictured in styles such as a lace Montinah set embellished with Swarovski crystals and small metallic studs, a black leaf embroidery Silva set with a silver foil print and Casella — a Fiorucci-inspired lace waistcoat.
The campaign will break on the company’s social media channels, web site and stores.
“Elmer is a true inspiration for my design process,” said creative director Sarah Shotton. “It was a dream of mine to be able to realize my vision through our latest advertising campaign with Mario. Andreea was the perfect model to capture the modern interpretation of such a strong confident iconic movement.”
