For its fall global ad campaign, Calvin Klein Inc. has collaborated with artist Charles Atlas.
Shot in New York City, the global Calvin Klein Collection campaign features models Grace Hertzel and Filip Hrivnak, as well as models Tami Williams, Maartje Verhoef and Otto Pierce. Atlas worked closely with the brand’s women’s creative director Francisco Costa and men’s creative director Italo Zucchelli in creating the video and still images.
Atlas is known as a pioneer in the creation of media-dance, a blend of video and performance in which original dance is created specifically for the camera. His work has been shown at such institutions as the Whitney Museum of American Art and the Museum of Modern Art in New York, as well as the Musée National d’Art Moderne Centre Pompidou in Paris and the Institute of Contemporary Arts in London.
“Collaborating with an art luminary like Charles Atlas deepens the brand’s connections with the art world,” said Melisa Goldie, chief marketing officer of Calvin Klein Inc.
The ad campaign, produced under the creative direction of Klein’s in-house ad agency, will include print, digital and outdoor advertising.
