Claudio Marenzi

Claudio Marenzi, chief executive officer of Italian outerwear company Herno, has been named president of Florence-based trade show organizer Pitti Immagine.

Marenzi, who will maintain his role as president of fashion and textile industry association Sistema Moda Italia, succeeds Gaetano Marzotto, who has helmed Pitti since 2002.

Andrea Cavicchi, president of the Florence Center for Italian Fashion, is the new vice president of Pitti Immagine, succeeding Marenzi and Leandro Gualtieri.

Pitti Immagine, which organizes the Pitti Uomo and Pitti Filati trade shows, among others, also renewed its board of directors, now including Fratelli Piacenza ceo Carlo Piacenza; Patrizia Pepe ceo Claudio Orrea; Gucci executive vice president Micaela Le Divelec, as well as Niccolò Manetti, Giusto Manetti Battiloro marketing and communication director, and Franco Bazzani, ceo of B&G Produzioni. In addition, Pitti Immagine ceo Raffaello Napoleone will continue to be a member of the board of directors of Pitti.
