A little piece of Bologna will come to SoHo next week as Cosmopack makes its debut outside of Italy.
The New York version of Cosmopack, a packaging exposition that is part of Cosmoprof Worldwide’s Bologna trade fair, will debut Sept. 22 to 23 at the Trump Soho during an invitation-only symposium. The training and networking workshop, called Cosmopack New York Symposium, will include a panel of beauty chief executive officers known for product innovation and excellence.
Sitting on the panel, who will address the topic “The View From the Top: The Recipe for Success,” are Clarisonic’s Robb Akridge, senior vice president and global general manager; Elana Drell Szyfer, ceo of Laura Geller Beauty; Jane Iredale, president of Iredale Cosmetics; Anastasia Soare, ceo and founder of Anastasia Cosmetics, and Kyan Feyzgiu, general manager of Gotha Cosmetics. The moderator is scheduled to be Pamela Jo Busiek, president and ceo of the Independent Cosmetics Manufacturers and Distributors.
There will also be a presentation from Euromonitor International zeroing in on the distinctive features of the U.S. market, as well as a roundtable discussion focused on the Italian supply chain.
The Cosmopack New York Symposium is expected to build off of the well-attended Cosmoprof North America, bringing a platform to the East Coast.
The Symposium, expected to be attended by 40 international companies, is organized in partnership with Cosmetica Italia, the association representing the cosmetic industry in Italy, and the Polo Tecnologico della Cosmesi.
