Quannah Chasinghorse, a Native American model, is featured in Mackage’s spring 2022 campaign, which is the first in a series of their Protectors campaign, which will feature people who take a stand to protect what matters most to them and what grounds them.

The campaign was shot by Tyler Mitchell along the Southern California and Malibu coastline.

Chief marketing officer Michelle Donnelly said the campaign has a quiet strength and serene optimism brought to life by casting Chasinghorse, a land protector. “We worked with Quannah on our fall 2021 campaign and saw so much alignment with her values and those of the brand that we wanted to build on this relationship into 2022. We are also working with her to support a cause of her choice, which we will reveal later in the campaign,” said Donnelly.

The collection features Mackage’s innovative E-3 Lite and Re-Stop materials. E-3 Lite is made from 100 percent recycled nylon, creating an airy, breathable feel that’s water-repellent and has a resistant finish, and Re-Stop is 100 percent recycled nylon fabric that has durability from its ripstop construction.

The campaign will run out of home in New York and Greater Toronto, along with digital media, paid social, and digital advertising in leading fashion and lifestyle publications in Asia. — Lisa Lockwood

For her spring 2022 ad campaign, Sara Battaglia box-checked some of the obsessions of younger generations. She enlisted model Anna Cleveland for images and short ASMR-style clips in which she is seen filing her nails, chewing a bubble gum and blowing a balloon out of it, answering the phone in a perfect Italian accent and eating a cheeseburger, the latter provided by Bun, a sustainably minded local eatery. Battaglia said the campaign, inspired by master directors including Jacques Tati, Stunley Donen and Andy Wharol and their cinematic tricks, charts a new course for her brand’s communication: ironic, playful and in tune with her younger audience. – Martino Carrera
