The organizers of In-Cosmetics North America are partnering with the Independent Cosmetics Manufacturers and Distributors Association as part of a plan to bring the group’s ingredients trade show to North America.

In-Cosmetics North America’s inaugural event is scheduled for Sept. 7-8 in New York at Pier 36. The trade show caters to international cosmetics and personal-care businesses. The group has other shows in Shanghai, Paris, Seoul, Bangkok, São Paulo and London throughout the year.

“North America remains one of the most creative and inspiring personal-care markets, with the recent growth of manufacturers helping it maintain its position as the world’s leading market,” said Daniel Zanetti, exhibition director of In-Cosmetics North America.

“In-Cosmetics events have a reputation for providing invaluable knowledge that inspires cosmetic manufacturers to create exciting new products,” asserted ICMAD president Pamela Busiek in a statement. “We at ICMAD pride ourselves on being able to offer assistance to our members concerning constantly evolving regulatory requirements.”

The trade association’s 700-plus members will hear about the latest consumers trends, attend hands-on formulation lab sessions and head to innovation seminars that show new ideas and techniques. The event also brings together 150 ingredients suppliers from across the globe for attendees to source raw materials.

The speaker lineup includes Amanda Hartzmark of Euromonitor International, who is set to discuss the changing consumer landscape in the U.S. beauty market, Nikola Matic of Kline, who will talk about consumer beauty trends, and David Tyrrell of Mintel, who will discuss key products.

In-Cosmetics North America is scheduled at the same time as MakeUp in New York, which is taking place at Center548. A shuttle will run between the two trade shows.
