Juliette Lewis is the latest personality to be unveiled for Marc Jacobs’ spring ad campaign. Jacobs revealed Lewis on his Instagram Thursday afternoon.
“I have always wanted to work with Juliette Lewis. She is someone whom I have admired and respected throughout her entire career. After years of asking, I’m so happy we could finally collaborate,” said Jacobs, on his Instagram site.
The actress and singer gained fame for her role in Martin Scorsese’s 1991 remake of the thriller “Cape Fear” and has also starred in such films as “What’s Eating Gilbert Grape,” “Natural Born Killers” and “The Other Sister.” She led the rock band Juliette and the Licks until 2009, before she launched a solo career.
As reported, Jacobs’ first portrait for the campaign is of Lana Wachowski, formerly Larry Wachowski, who directed “The Matrix” with her brother Andy Wachowski and came out publicly about her gender transition from male to female in 2012. Others featured in the campaign include Sandra Bernhard, Bette Midler and Dan Donigan, also known as Milk, Joan Smalls and Adriana Lima, among others.
The ads are shot by David Sims.
