Juicy Couture, owned by Authentic Brands Group, has forged a long-term master license agreement with The Batra Group, a London-based apparel and accessories designer and manufacturer.

The Batra Group will introduce a collection of Juicy Couture apparel, accessories, footwear and handbags for the European market in spring 2020.

Jarrod Weber, group president, brand-lifestyle at ABG, said, “As the Juicy Couture brand continues to grow and evolve, it is our priority to enlist industry-leading partners in key brand territories to expand the business and design product that is authentic to the brand’s DNA and meets the needs of the Juicy Girl.”

Last December, ABG signed with lifestyle brand Shinsegae International to expand Juicy Couture’s footprint in South Korea. Shinsegae will open 23 shop-in-shops in major department stores in the region by the end of next month and 50 additional shop-in-shops by the end of 2024. Shinsegae will also launch an e-commerce destination at SIVillage.com by the end of next month to expand the distribution of Juicy Couture’s exclusive collection.

The Batra Group will design an exclusive collection of Juicy Couture apparel, accessories, footwear and handbags with the assistance of designer Amy Gibson, known for her work with the Ivy Park brand, a partnership between Beyoncé and Adidas.

Inspired by global street style, the Juicy Couture offerings will have bold color palettes and edgy silhouettes, while incorporating Juicy Couture’s L.A. glamour and aesthetic. Luxe velour tracksuits, satin bowling shirts and high-rise skirts will be offered in vibrant colors. Soft, tailored suits with hooded inserts, cutouts and floor-length coats are also part of the spring mix.

“We are very excited to secure the license for the Juicy Couture brand as it sits well within our portfolio and has incredible opportunity in the women’s lifestyle market while being the original brand to identify ath-leisure and the velour tracksuit,” said Rajiv Batra, executive chairman of The Batra Group.

The collection will be distributed in the U.K. and throughout Europe in department stores and e-commerce channels. The Batra Group, which is headquartered in London and Mumbai, has offices across India, Singapore, China, Indonesia and Portugal.

Juicy Couture’s product range includes apparel for women’s, girls, and baby, handbags, shoes, intimates, swimwear, fragrance, accessories and jewelry.

ABG’s brands include Marilyn Monroe, Muhammad Ali, Shaquille O’Neal, Sports Illustrated, Judith Leiber, Vince Camuto, Chaus, Aéropostale, Frye, Jones New York and Nine West.
