Oxford’s new president is a company man.
The firm, whose brands include Tommy Bahama, Ben Sherman and Oxford Golf, has named Thomas Chubb 3rd as its new president. The position has been vacant since Michael Setola’s departure in 2007.
Chubb, 45, started with Oxford Industries Inc. as an intern in 1988 and has served in a number of roles within the company, including executive vice president, a post he has held since 2004.
“Tom’s promotion is a natural evolution of his growing responsibility within our company,” said Oxford’s chairman and chief executive officer J. Hicks Lanier.
During his tenure, Chubb helped the company evolve from a private label manufacturer to a brand manager and licensing resource. In his new post, Chubb will continue to report to Lanier.
