PARIS — Puma has named Arne Freundt regional general manager Europe and EEMEA, effective immediately.

Freundt, global director retail and e-commerce at the German sportswear company since 2015, in the new role succeeds Puma veteran Martyn Bowen, who has left the company in order to pursue personal interests, the company said Thursday.

Freundt joined Puma in 2011 as head of global strategy, overseeing the company’s transformation process in Europe. In his new role, he reports to Puma chief executive officer Bjørn Gulden.
