Anne-Laure Descours has been appointed chief sourcing officer at Puma

PARIS — Anne-Laure Descours has been appointed chief sourcing officer at Puma.

Descours, who joined the German activewear brand in 2012, oversees product development and sourcing activities of all global apparel and accessories. As part of this new position, starting Feb. 1, she will be responsible for sustainability within the Puma Group and has been given a seat on the management board.

Before joining Puma, the French national worked at Hong Kong-based international sourcing organizations Li & Fung and Otto International. She is still primarily based in Hong Kong.

Descours partially replaces chief operating officer Lars Radoor Sørensen, who was formerly in charge of sourcing, IT and logistics, who is stepping down from the company, effective Jan. 31. IT and logistics will now report to Puma’s chief financial officer Michael Lämmermann.
