Sanctuary, a Los Angeles-based women’s lifestyle brand, has signed a licensing deal for denim with One Jeanswear Group.
The first product will launch at the upcoming Project trade show in Las Vegas in February.
Ken Polanco, chief executive officer of Sanctuary, said the expansion and elevation of the brand’s denim offering with One Jeanswear is “a game-changer” for the brand.
“We really look at this as a collaboration versus the old-school way of thinking toward a licensee partnership,” he said. “Our philosophies instantly aligned in terms of work ethic, strategy, and vision. Together we have identified as kindred creative spirits and will further innovate in this category as part of this exciting alliance.”
Jack Gross, ceo of One Jeanswear, also spoke to the synergy between the two companies. He said he had admired Sanctuary’s team for their “product direction, loyal consumer base and unwavering brand integrity over the years. We have always been extremely consumer-centric and realize in today’s challenging climate, the customer is motivated by outstanding and innovative product. We will be focusing on great fits, finishes and luxurious fabrics that will only enhance the Sanctuary brand and take it to a new level.”
The collection will offer premium denim styles in sizes 00 to 24W and will include jeans, jackets, skirts and other complementary items. Retail prices will range from $79 to $159.
Sanctuary’s owners Ken and Deb Polanco bought back full ownership of the company from The Camuto Group in December of 2018. The brand recently unveiled a Smart Creation collection of sustainable ready-to-wear and denim for spring. This category will continue through the license with One Jeanswear.
