Trade shows just got trendier.
Trade-show organizer UBM Fashion has forged a strategic partnership with Fashion Snoops, a culture and trend forecasting firm, to provide fashion-trend insights across all UBM Fashion shows.
In light of UBM Fashion’s increased focus on providing education and insight for attendees and brands, Fashion Snoops will provide direction on key fashion trends and topics to assist UBM Fashion customers in making key buying decisions.
Mike Alic, managing director, UBM Fashion, said the company’s 10 marketplaces and 22 show brands will now be able to present “one clear and compelling set of fashion-trend directions to the entire industry.”
Fashion Snoops and UBM Fashion’s partnership will encompass creating one cohesive and compelling trend voice across all UBM Fashion trade events, from cultural trends to market-specific season guidance on key trends in colors and product. Together, they will develop educational materials such as trend galleries, boards, buyer guides, web site articles and seminars, and help each show develop its own direction, specific to its market segment, while retaining linkages to the common trends that cut across the industry.
“We share UBM’s view that what the industry needs now is clarity and reliable, actionable direction,” said Lilly Berelovich, president and chief creative officer of Fashion Snoops. She said that UBM understands that their attendees and exhibitors require specific insights to make smart business decisions. “Unifying the trend direction across all shows will allow UBM to send to the market cohesive messaging that brands and buyers can stand behind and invest in,” she said.
With a team of 50 experts and 100 international analysts, Fashion Snoops operates an online creative platform for the fashion industry and other trend-driven consumer industries. Fashion Snoops is a key partner during MAGIC, which takes place today through Feb. 23 at the Las Vegas Convention Center and Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas.
