Yandy.com, an online retailer of specialty apparel for women, will sponsor the 2017 Miss USA competition for the first time. The event will air live from Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas on May 14 at 8 p.m. on Fox.
Contestants representing all 50 states and the District of Columbia will showcase some of the summer’s key trends during the swimsuit portion of the competition. Yandy’s swim styles will also be highlighted during the preliminary competition held earlier in the week and a special Miss USA fashion show. In addition, the women competing for the title will be featured in a multiepisode social series that will further spotlight Yandy’s collection.
As part of the prize package, the winner will receive a swim wardrobe supplied by Yandy.
“With our recent recognition at major fashion events, Yandy’s swim collection is building,” said Thom Brodeur, chief executive officer of Yandy, which is based in Phoenix. He said the company’s swim business doubled in the first quarter versus a year ago.
The company’s latest swim collection features vibrant prints, sleek lines an on-trend silhouettes. Contestants will wear nearly 50 different styles including two-piece bikinis, one-piece suits and monokinis. Styles worn by the Miss USA contests will be available immediately for purchase by viewers at Yandy.com/2017-miss-usa.
