Crew president and creative director Jenna Lyons, Spanx chief executive officer Sara Blakely, Gisel Ruiz, executive vice president of Wal-Mart International, and Rosalind Brewer, president and ceo of Sam’s Club, all made the list.
From the tech world, Angela Ahrendts, senior vice president of retail and online stores at Apple; Sheryl Sandberg, chief operating officer of Facebook, Marissa Mayer, ceo of Yahoo, and Susan Wojcicki, ceo of YouTube, are among those who scored a spot on the power list. The media world is represented by such editors as Emmanuelle Alt, editor in chief of Vogue Paris, and Joanna Coles, editor in chief of Cosmopolitan and editorial director of Seventeen.
Madonna, Beyoncé, Reese Witherspoon, Amy Poehler, Angelina Jolie, Kerry Washington, Blake Lively, Jennifer Lopez and Kim Kardashian are among the celebrities who are also recognized among the most powerful moms.
