LAUNCH MODE: Anew magazine, a bi-annual gazette assembled by TAR alumni Francesco Bonami, Martina Mondadori and Coco Brandolini d’Adda with graphic design by Christoph Radl, is bowing this week.

Published by Gianluca Reina and billed as the sort of collectible magazine that looks great on coffee tables, Anew — with 90,000 copies printed annually — promises to cover an eclectic range of topics, from food and fashion to science, photography, architecture, art and literature. Guest artists will devise the front and back covers as well as four double pages inside the magazine, setting a different tone for each issue.

Anew has entered partnerships with select newsstands and bookstores internationally, with the price for a copy set at 18 euros, or about $24 at current exchange. Retailers including Colette in Paris, Corso Como 10 in Milan and London’s Dover Street Market have signed on to carry the magazine, which will also be available at the Frieze Art Fair, Miami Art Basel and the Venice Biennale, as well as at New York’s MOMA, London’s Tate Modern and Serpentine Gallery, Berlin’s Hamburger Bahnhof and both the Centre Pompidou and the Palais de Tokyo in Paris.

The debut issue, which clocks in at 252 pages, features contributions from Rob Pruitt and Douglas Gordon, while the mag’s roster of supporters and collaborators includes Ginevra Elkann, Christian Louboutin, Jonathan Franzen and James Franco. A digital version of Anew will also be available.
