LET’S DANCE: Another Magazine has joined Sadler’s Wells, the London contemporary dance theater, to create “Movement,” a series of films fusing fashion and dance that will premiere later this month in London.

The project, supported by the Ford Vignale brand, has seen seven fashion labels create costumes for seven choreographed performances, with a number of directors then interpreting each performance for the screen.

The labels that have worked up costumes for the performances are Prada; Gareth Pugh; Calvin Klein Collection; Iris Van Herpen; Chalayan; Alexander McQueen and Stephen Jones Millinery.

Prada has designed the costumes for a performance by the dancers of Tanztheater Wuppertal, the dance company made famous by the late Pina Bausch. They will perform in a film directed by Kevin Frilet.

Alexander McQueen has dressed dancer Marie-Agnès Gillot for a film directed by Daniel Askill, while dancers Aya and Bambi will wear Chalayan, in a film directed by Jacob Sutton.

Jefferson Hack, founder of Another Magazine, called the project “a labor of love for a number of talented craftsmen, creating completely bespoke collaborations that appreciate dance and fashion from a new perspective.”

Meanwhile, a print interpretation of “Movement” will feature in Another’s fall 2015 issue. The films will preview at a private event at Sadler’s Wells on April 17, and there will be two subsequent screenings April 18. They will be shown online, at anothermag.com, from April 20.
