BARNEYS BUILDS OUT ITS WINDOW: Barneys New York is placing more emphasis on its editorial site, The Window. Marissa Rosenblum will join the retailer on Monday as its first in-house editorial director for The Window, where she will oversee daily content updates — including interviews with designers, beauty stories, trend stories from the fashion office and a behind-the-scenes look at the team. Most recently, Rosenblum was the market director at Refinery29 and managed the shopping vertical. According to Barneys, The Window has had a 20 percent increase in traffic so far this year and page views are up 70 percent to date, fueled by the spring Brothers, Sisters, Sons & Daughters campaign. And while The Window has been the focus to this point, the store will now use the content across other digital touch points, like the recently launched iPad app, as well as in store.
