FASHION ON SCREEN: Britain’s BBC iPlayer streaming service is set to air three fashion-themed shows later this month, which aim to give viewers a glimpse into the London Fashion Week experience.
The digital streaming service has tapped model Abbey Clancey, fashion vlogger Grace Victory and musician Lianne La Havas to present three shows that center on fashion and London Fashion Week, as the shows take place in September at the British Fashion Council’s new Brewer Street Car Park venue in London’s Soho.
In Clancy’s episode, the BBC’s cameras will follow the model as she attends London Fashion Week shows and interviews designers, while in Victory’s episode, the vlogger will aim to show viewers how to take inspiration from the looks on the runway with their own wardrobe.
Meanwhile, in La Havas’ show, the musician will take viewers on an after-hours tour of the Victoria & Albert Museum exhibit “Shoes: Pleasure & Pain.”
Commenting on her episode, Clancey said: “London is renowned for being one of the best fashion weeks in the world. I love all the hustle and bustle surrounding all the shows — the city is buzzing for the whole week.” After their initial airing, the shows will be available to view for 30 days in the U.K. via BBC iPlayer.
