BETWEEN THE SHEETS: Kate Upton, known for her appearances on the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issues, is hitting the sack. She has returned for a third season as the face of Sam Edelman’s fall advertising campaign. Photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott shot Upton in London on a private set, using minimal decor — a bed. Trey Laird directed the campaign.

In one particular image, she is photographed lying in bed holding a burgundy shoe.
“This campaign reveals Kate in an intimate one-on-one moment,” said Sam Edelman, designer, founder and division president for the Sam Edelman division of Brown Shoe Co. “With the launch of our apparel line this season, we can dress her from toe to head but sometimes all she wants are her Sams.”
Edelman’s campaign, which breaks at the end of the month, will appear on digital sites, as well as a nationwide billboards in such cities as New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Dallas, Boston, Chicago and San Francisco. The company is in talks to have the digital campaign appear on WWD.com, vogue.com, Style.com, Refinery29 and The Cut. The campaign is also being supported internationally in print and outdoor. A behind-the-scenes video will appear on samedelman.com. The company declined to reveal its fall ad budget.
