LOOK NO FARTHER: Bloomberg Media has tapped one of its own to head up Bloomberg Pursuits, promoting Emma Rosenblum to editor. The two-year veteran of the company previously served as editor of Bloomberg Businessweek’s Etc. section, which she redesigned last May. In her new gig, Rosenblum, a former senior editor at Glamour, succeeds Ted Moncreiff, who exited in December. She reports to chief content officer Josh Tyrangiel.
Rosenblum said tonally she’s not into reverential coverage of luxury, insisting that amazing trips, gorgeous clothes and beautiful food can be presented in a way that is “bright, fun, poppy and light” and with a sense of humor. She said the aim is to make Bloomberg Pursuits “aspirational without being lame.”
With the spring edition of the quarterly due out-the-door in March, Rosenblum’s redesign won’t be evident to Bloomberg Markets’ 375,000 subscribers until the summer issue. Staffing for Pursuits has yet to be determined, but for the time being the title will be produced internally by existing Bloomberg Media editorial,
art and photo staff.
