Versace Spring 2017 Advertising Campaign

Versace set its spring advertising campaign in the Kentucky countryside.

Legendary photographer Bruce Weber shot a squad of young personalities, including Edie Campbell, Anna Ewers, as well as actor Mitchell Slaggert and musician Jake Lahrman.

The colored images celebrate the freedom and happiness of a dynamic life spent in touch with the natural world. For example, a sense of playful adventure is injected in a picture portraying Campbell standing up on a horse’s back while wearing a fluid color-blocked nylon parka. This is an iconic piece of the brand’s latest fall collection, which offered an elevated version of contemporary sportswear.

“It was fun to create the images for the advertising campaign of Donatella [Versace]’s new collection because they portray beauty, nature and freedom. The freedom of choosing what you like, expressing yourself and telling what you want,” said Weber, who previously shot the brand’s fall campaign. “It’s always very interesting to see how fashion can send out messages directed to everybody and how it enables people to reflect and improve themselves.”

“This is a collection which talks about Versace’s lifestyle with its freedom and dynamism,” Donatella Versace said. “I don’t know anyone who is able to capture this spirit and energy better than Bruce Weber.”
