November is shaping up to be a standout in regard to e-commerce traffic and conversion rate for the apparel sector.
HookLogic said traffic, measured as total product page views, is up 44 percent versus October. The performance marketing firm, which is aggregating data this holiday shopping season from retailers in its network, also said conversion rates are higher.
And compared to the October baseline, traffic for the four subcategories tracked also are all higher. The sleepwear index gained a whopping 219 percent while jewelry jumped 57 percent and outerwear increased 21 percent. Dresses rose 9 percent.
“Pajamas are a popular search term and sleepwear continues to show the biggest increase in traffic,” said the firm, adding that the average number of items in an online shopping cart rose to 3.4 in the week of November 16 from 3.3 items in the first week of the month. Average ticket prices dropped to $96 from $108.
