DINNER MATE: Elie Tahari is about to bring a large proposition to the table — literally. The designer has unveiled a new housewares venture in partnership with Lifetime Brands Inc., which will facilitate the production of Elie Tahari-branded tableware and glassware as well as other assorted goods for entertaining and the kitchen. The partnership’s debut collection — which includes six dinnerware patterns and three glassware motifs — will be unveiled to buyers at the New York Tabletop Market, which began Tuesday and runs through Friday. Product is slated to make its retail debut this fall, with four-piece place settings priced between $80 and $220.

Each design motif draws inspiration from Tahari’s two primary places of residence: Manhattan and the Hamptons, where he owns a home in Amagansett. Collections are named for destinations, including Montauk’s Navy Beach and SoHo’s Prince Street.
