Some 1,000 posters will be displayed throughout the city on day one of Paris Fashion Week, the day of the French designer’s presentation. It’s set for Tuesday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Atelier Brancusi in Centre Georges Pompidou.
“It sticks to the time,” noted Deroeux, 26, about his “guerilla” strategy. A self-confessed “absolute fan” of Wasson whom he describes as a “muse,” Deroeux praised her combination of “rock ’n’ roll and chic.”
Wasson sports a red leather jacket and white denim pants from the designer’s namesake label’s spring 2016 collection and was lensed by up-and-coming Japanese photographer Piczo.
Hinting at his inspirations for the spring collection, Deroeux mentioned the Brazilian art movement Ruptura, that advocated a return to pure aesthetics, plus the work of Constantin Brâncuși.
The designer is to unveil his first shoe line in collaboration with Carel during the presentation.
