What is summer without a good getaway?
As the season hits its halfway mark, Feiyue is here to help plan that necessary vacation with the publication of an online travel guide. For its inaugural edition, the European sneaker brand tapped five models and bloggers — Jessica Hart, Alexandra Richards, Elyse Taylor, Christina Caradona and Natalie Suarez — to share their top travel tips. The guide, which is available on Feiyue’s Web site, features each of the girls posing around New York City in Feiyue sneakers, as well as their inside scoop on favorite destination spots, restaurant recommendations and more. In keeping with the sneaker theme, many of the topics emphasize the idea of movement. When asked how New York swept her off her feet, Richards answered, “I’m always surprised. It’s always moving, always evolving, similar to me, so I love catching up with New York.” Hart, meanwhile, picked Andy Warhol as the person whose shoes she’d like to walk in for a day.
“Feiyue is about an attitude and a vision of life. It’s about exploration and the desire to experience all aspects of life by taking the next step to fly forward,” said Patrice Bastian, cofounder and creative director of the brand. “When I see these girls and their attitude, inspiration and passion for life but also for exploration and travels, it make sense to Feiyue. It is a perfect match. This is the Feiyue life. The inspiration behind this project is to show a part of Feiyue’s values and DNA through travel and exploration.”
The guide comes just three months after the Paris-based brand’s U.S. launch. The collection is now sold stateside at retailers including Nordstrom, Zappos.com, Lester’s and Little Hipster’s, with its classic white “Fe Lo” logo sneakers for women priced at $65. Global retailers include Luisa Via Roma, Harvey Nichols, Selfridges and Harrods.
