Forbes Media is expanding its footprint with an event space in Manhattan. “Forbes on Fifth,” as its called, is a 7,500-square-foot space at Fifth Avenue and Ninth Street, opening tonight for a party celebrating the magazine’s “30 Under 30” franchise. “Our plan is to host a range of events over the course of the year from content events, networking events and social events. Some will be internal and others in partnership with our clients,” said Forbes Media chief revenue officer Mark Howard.

In recent years, Forbes has started working with luxury brands including Tiffany & Co., Cartier, Mercedes-Benz and the watch company Zenith to produce branded content, and is looking to use the space specifically for events and meetings with these clients, as well as for their own events and summits. (The company’s headquarters are in Jersey City.) “There are a number of integration concepts being discussed with a wide range of clients in the spirits, watches and technology categories,” continued Howard. “Using the space to build better relationships with our clients or to help them connect with customers is a benefit to all.”

Forbes on Fifth was designed by Loffredo Brooks Architects, which also worked in conjunction with Ralph Lauren to furnish the space. It consists of three primary entertaining areas – the main hall, which can fit 150 people, and a smaller dining room and conference room for more intimate meetings. “Since we have access to some of the most influential leaders and top innovators in the world, our goal is to have this space also serve as a hub for business meetings and thought-provoking discussion,” said Howard.
