Pouliquen succeeds Anne-Cécile Sarfati, who is becoming responsible for Elle Active, a series of conferences and job fairs for women. Sarfati is also to oversee the 11 local editions of Elle, which includes Elle Paris.
Pouliquen has served as deputy editor in chief of Marie Claire since August 2014. Before that, she was editor in chief at women’s magazine Be, which was sold to Reworld Media Group by Lagardère Active, Elle’s owner.
The nominations come after Elle deputy editorial director Véronique Philipponnat left the magazine in December.
Last November, Elle editorial director Françoise-Marie Santucci also named Friquette Thévenet-Mondino to oversee fashion.
