GQ.com has poached sister site Glamour.com’s executive digital director Mike Hofman.
Hofman will retain his title when he moves over to GQ, and he will report to editor in chief Jim Nelson. The newly-crowned Hofman fills the spot recently held by Kevin Sintumaung, who was dismissed last month.
At GQ, Hofman will oversee GQ’s Web and mobile presence, as well as social media strategy.
“With a proven track record of finding new and inventive ways to capitalize on smart web-centric content, Mike strikes the perfect balance of valuing great editorial ideas and applying those across various and ever changing platforms,” said Nelson. “As we move into 2015 our agenda is clear: make our digital presence faster, smarter, more nimble, and ultimately more engaging.”
Hofman comes to GQ after three years at Glamour.com, where he helped launch its beauty site, Lipstick.com. Prior to Glamour, Hofman served as editor of Inc.com from 2008 to 2011. His appointment is effective Dec. 15.
