NEW YORK — After 17 years, the Jil Sander Group is parting ways with Marion Greenberg Inc. as its North American public relations and communications team.

PR Consulting, headed by Pierre Rougier and Sylvie Picquet-Damesme, will be taking over those responsibilities. As of this month, the company will handle all requests for the Jil Sander fall-winter 2007-2008 collection.

Anything related to the Jil Sander spring-summer 2007 collection will continue to be handled by Marion Greenberg through the end of March.

Executives at Marion Greenberg and PR Consulting declined to comment on Friday.

In a statement released by Jil Sander, the company thanked Marion Greenberg for “its excellent efforts and the great passion dedicated to the Jil Sander brand over the past 17 years.”

Last February, Prada sold Jil Sander to London private equity fund Change Capital Partners. Raf Simons, who joined Sander in May 2005 as creative director, presented his first collection for fall 2006.

In addition to Jil Sander, PR Consulting represents such clients as Balenciaga, Narciso Rodriguez, Dries van Noten, Proenza Schouler and Pierre Hardy.

Marion Greenberg’s roster includes Pringle of Scotland, Biba, Henry Beguelin, Luisa Beccaria and Chado Ralph Rucci.
