IN VOGUE: Jourdan Dunn is the cover star of British Vogue’s February issue, and she is the first black model to front the magazine for more than a decade since Naomi Campbell in 2002. It was Dunn herself who tweeted the news, thanking the photographer, Patrick Demarchelier, and stylist Kate Phelan “for making this happen.” To be clear, this isn’t the first time that Dunn has appeared on the cover of British Vogue: She was one of three models featured in the November 2008 issue, and she also appeared on the front of the British Miss Vogue supplement in April 2014. And while Dunn may be the first black model to grace the cover since 2002, she’s not the first black woman to do so. Both Rihanna and Beyoncé have appeared on the cover of the British fashion title. A spokeswoman for Condé Nast Britain declined to comment.
