LADY IN BLACK: Emily Mortimer is featured in L.K. Bennett’s fall ad campaign, which also gives a first glimpse of the brand’s new ready-to-wear capsule collection Black Ribbon. Mortimer, who is currently starring alongside Jane Fonda in “The Newsroom” on HBO, has been photographed wearing platform heels and a clutch from the mainline collection, and a lace dress from Black Ribbon, which makes its debut for fall. That collection is priced about 30 to 40 percent higher that the mainline collection. The campaign was shot on location in New York by Catherine Servel and styled by Kate Young.

In the past, L.K. Bennett has featured young professional women rather than actresses or models in its campaigns, but the company — which has been ramping up its international and U.S. expansion with the opening of its first Manhattan flagship and showroom earlier this year — said it was time for a change. “As we develop our retail presence in the U.S. and beyond, we were keen to ensure the star of the campaign was quintessentially British,” said a spokeswoman. The campaign will break in the September issues of titles including InStyle and Harper’s Bazaar in the U.S. and in Vogue, Vanity Fair, Red and InStyle in the U.K.
