LATEST IN A SERIES: Frédérique Dedet is to join Les Echos as editor in chief of its high-end magazine Série Limitée. “She’ll be focusing on the monthly magazine, which is very important for us,” Francis Morel, the chief executive officer of Les Echos Group, whose parent company is LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, told WWD.
Dedet, who recently resigned from her position of editor in chief of L’Officiel, succeeds Les Echos deputy editor Bénédicte Epinay, who was appointed general director of a newly created luxury division at Pelham Media. Les Echos Group acquired 60 percent of that digital content agency earlier this year.
Epinay was behind the launch in 1999 of Série Limitée and participated in the launch last October of Les Echos’ weekend supplement, Les Echos Week-End.
Separately, Les Echos Group named Sophie Gourmelen as general director and publication director of Le Parisien Aujourd’hui en France, the newspaper and its national counterpart, which was acquired by the group in 2015.
