TIME OUT: The watch campaign L’Instant Chanel snagged first prize for a magazine advertisement in the thirtieth such competition organized by La Presse Magazine.

L’Instant de Chanel was the luxury company’s first new institutional watch campaign in more than a decade with 15 double-page ads juxtaposing graphic black-and-white images of women and men whose limbs are position to mirror the position of watch hands.

The ads were shot by Patrick Demarchelier and unveiled in April 2014.

The two other campaigns vying for pole position in La Presse Magazine’s competition were for Renault Twingo and Philharmonie de Paris.
