Tiffany & Co. has tapped Lupita Nyong’o as the new face of the luxury jewelry brand.

The Oscar-winning actress appears in the new “Legendary Star” campaign alongside Elle Fanning, Christy Turlington and Natalie Westling. This not only marks the first time in 179 years that the brand has used a celebrity-driven campaign, but it is also the first project for Grace Coddington as the luxury jewelry brand’s creative director. As for Nyong’o, the actress has had a busy year — in addition to her work as a brand ambassador for Lancôme, which she was named in April 2014, she earned a Tony Award nomination for her role in “Eclipsed.”

Coddington, who took on the role earlier this year after stepping down as Vogue’s creative director, hand-selected the four women to be a part of the new series. The campaign, shot by David Sims, features a simple Tiffany Blue background with close-ups of the brand’s newest pieces.

Coddington recently traded her behind-the-scenes role to be in front of the camera for Calvin Klein’s fall campaign, which featured 25 other members of the industry, including Kate Moss, Bella Hadid and Zoë Kravitz.

The creative director has slowly begun to reveal more details of Tiffany & Co.’s newest campaign on her Instagram. She shared two illustrations of the campaign faces, one showing the four women with the hashtag “#legendarystyle,” and the other a drawing of Nyong’o sitting for her portrait, under which Coddington wrote “having fun with the team on set photographing @lupitanyongo for @tiffanyandco fall campaign. I’m the one with red hair!” Nyong’o, for her part, called the experience “unforgettable.”
