MAKE YOURSELF AT HOME: The hip, downtown home designers Cortney and Bob Novogratz of the HGTV reality show “Home by Novogratz” will be featuring two major fashion designers in their second-season roundup, which begins airing in April: Norma Kamali and Cynthia Rowley. Also making guest appearances will be Rowley’s husband, Bill Powers, and Tipper Gore, said Cortney Novogratz, who co-authored the bestselling book “Downtown Chic” with her husband. A second book is slated this year.
“We worked with Betsey Johnson during the first season because we were doing a home makeover with lots of pink. When you think of pink you think of Betsey,” said Novogratz. She added that the line up of 2012 home makeovers will include Wendy Williams, Suzanne Vega, pro skateboarder and actor Tony Hawk and Paul Pierce of the Boston Celtics. Retail features will include a new Fred Segal store.
The Novogratzs have also signed an exclusive licensing agreement with home design retailer CB2 to create a one-of-a-kind collection of home furnishings, lighting and wall fixtures that will be launched this fall at 13 CB2 stores and cb2.com as well as more than one million catalogues mailed by CB2 each month.
