STERN’S NEW GIG: Jared Paul Stern, the former New York Post scribe who’s now editor at large at Star magazine, is spreading his brand of celebrity gossip around. Stern is becoming a full-time freelancer and has had several conversations with Adam Moss, editor in chief of New York, about writing for the magazine. A spokeswoman for New York confirmed Stern will be freelancing for the Intelligencer section next week, but wouldn’t comment on whether a permanent role is in the works. Stern couldn’t be reached for comment.
Stern joined the Star in September as executive editor, but changed his role last week to editor at large so he could freelance for other publications, including the Star. Earlier, he was a gossip reporter and columnist for the Post, where he contributed to Page Six and also wrote several columns for the paper, including “Night Crawler” and “Fashion Buzz.” — Lisa Lockwood
