Michael Kors dominated the fashion sphere on Facebook last month.

The brand gained 924,000 new followers, or likes, logging growth of about 8.6 percent on the platform, according to digital marketing firm Stylophane. Kors’ posts received 1.7 million likes and 17,000 comments, as well as the top spot on Stylophane’s February list of the top 500 fashion brands on Facebook.

There was a large gap between Kors and the rest of the brands listed. Dolce & Gabbana came in second with 561,000 post likes — less than a third of Kors’ tally — and gained 129,000 new followers. Indian online fashion brand Yepme came in third place with 514,000 post likes and 116,000 new fans. Rounding out the top 10 were Louis Vuitton (427,000 post likes), Desigual (384,000), Roberto Cavalli (379,000), Andrew Christian (353,000), Dior (304,000), Burberry (272,000) and Jeremy Scott (258,000).

While Kors was categorized as a fashion brand in the study, it also would have topped the list of retailers, which was led by Aéropostale, with 1.3 million post likes last month, and Tiffany & Co., with 995,000.

During New York Fashion Week, Kors was also a top performer on Facebook-owned Instagram. The company ranked third in terms of most new followers gained during the period, behind Nike and Forever 21, according to data from analytics firm Nitrogram. Kors was the first company to advertise on Instagram in November.
