MR PORTER’S NEW EDITOR: The Net-a-porter Group has tapped John Brodie as editor in chief of its Mr Porter site.
Brodie, who starts his new job in mid-May, will lead editors Jodie Harrison in London and Dan Rookwood in New York and style director Dan May.
Reporting to Mr Porter managing director Ian Tansley, the new editor in chief will be based in New York, but he will frequently work from the company’s London headquarters.
Brodie succeeds founding Mr Porter editor in chief Jeremy Langmead, who last November said he would leave the site for Christie’s in London, where he serves as chief content officer. Brodie has been a contributing editor at Mr Porter since 2010, but simultaneously has served as executive editor of Hachette Book Group over the past four years. Brodie has also held editorial roles at Fortune, Best Life, GQ and Spy, among other publications.
