Monica Botkier has found herself a new “It” girl.

For fall, the handbag designer tapped up-and-coming model Nadine Leopold as the brand’s campaign muse, following Bella Hadid, who was featured in the Botkier New York spring campaign. “[Leopold] is gorgeous, number one, and you can’t go wrong with that,” Botkier said of the casting. “But she’s also an up-and-coming star, and we love that. I feel like we caught Bella at the right moment last season.”

Since appearing in Botkier’s campaign, Hadid has been featured in editorials for magazines such as CR Fashion Book, Love Magazine, Teen Vogue, W, Elle, Glamour and Harper’s Bazaar, as well as fall campaigns for Ralph Lauren Denim & Supply and Balmain, the latter of which also featured sister and fellow model Gigi, as well as Kendall and Kylie Jenner. Leopold, who is signed to IMG Models and already boasts 224,000 Instagram followers, is well posed to follow suit. In addition to numerous international editorials, the 21-year-old has also posed on the cover of Glamour France and been featured in Victoria’s Secret catalogues, as well as walked in the brand’s first swim runways show, held earlier this year. She is also no stranger to the tabloid world, having been rumored to date — and dump — One Direction member Harry Styles.

“She’s such an awesome low-key, cool girl, so she wears our bags the way we intend our Botkier girl to do,” Botkier said. “She’s a busy girl, running day to night, but still very confident. She has that vibe.”

The campaign, shot by Sophie Elgort (daughter of Arthur and sister of Ansel), features Leopold downtown in Manhattan, and was styled by Jamie Schneider. Highlight styles in the images include a convertible crossbody and clutch, an updated backpack, and a roomy tote bag.
